Phil Chalmers, America's leading authority on juvenile homicide and juvenile mass murder, has interviewed over 200 teen killers and school shooters, and has been studying youth culture and teen murder for 25 years. Phil is the author of numerous books and documentaries including his latest two releases, "Inside the Mind of a Teen Killer" and "The Encyclopedia of Teen Killers."
Instead of learning about these crimes from textbooks or libraries, Chalmers speaks to the killers themselves, and has interacted with teen killers, serial killers, school shooters, and sexual predators, including Charles Manson, David Berkowitz, Pearl shooter Like Woodham, Paducah shooter Michael Carneal, Jonesboro shooter Mitchell Johnson, and Moses Lake shooter Barry Loukaitis. Phil's next project is a television show with Miami Homicide detective Joe Schillaci based on his seminar and book about teen killers, with an emphasis on rescuing teens who are headed towards homicide. Phil is also working on a book with Joe Schillaci detailing how America manufactures and raises our very own teen killers.
Phil's work has been featured on Montel Williams, Howard Stern, People Magazine, and the "E" network. He has appeared on numerous media outlets, and has interacted with numerous media personalities, including the Insane Clown Posse, Jessica Simpson, Metallica, Two Live Crew, and many more.
Join us at the 2010 Safe School Conference and hear Phil Chalmers live. This seminar will teach attendees the top ten reasons juveniles kill, the six types of teen killers, the warning signs that were missed, and ways we can keep our schools and communities safe. Phil will take attendees back in time, exploring the history of juvenile homicide, which dates back to 1786, and will discuss 2 of the first school shootings, which occurred 36 years ago, back in 1974. Phil will also give attendees a dose of youth culture, familiarizing attendees with today's teen entertainment, including video games, music, and movies.
"Phil's presentation was amazing... the details and information that Phil shared in regards to these incidents is nothing like I have seen in any other presentation on this topic in my career." Kevin Quinn, Chandler Police Dept SRO and NASRO board member.

The Edmonton Police Service appreciates the opportunity to speak to you about a 51 billion dollar business that affects an estimated 2.5 million people worldwide at any given time. Human trafficking involving sexual exploitation affects men, woman and children. More than half of these victims are children between the ages of 12 – 18 years of age. This is happening right here in our city.
During a one hour presentation you will watch a ten minute video called “I’m not for sale”. Then guest speaker Norma will share her story about her life as a prostitute for 28 years working on the streets. She will discuss the signs to look for in students, who could possibly be struggling with hard issues in life that may direct them to the streets to work.
Edmonton Police Service Constable Jennifer Voogd will speak about recruitment. It could be a stranger, neighbor, relative or immediate family member. She will also talk about educating the students to be aware of areas in the city that the trafficking process is occurring. Staff Sergeant John Fiorilli with Edmonton Police Service Vice unit will discuss human trafficking cases that occurred in Edmonton.
This one hour free presentation has already been presented to over 1400 hundred students in the City of Edmonton this spring. The mission this fall is to attend twenty remaining public high schools, Junior High schools and ten Catholic High schools before December. With your help we can achieve this goal.
To survive, your culture has to constantly adapt and adjust. Change will continue to be an integral part of this work: administrative changes, SRO changes, staffing changes, student changes, new initiatives, new approaches, and new possibilities. As a leader, your the agent of change. But where is your road map? Where are your tools?
There are eight stages of change. The first is attachment to the familiar; the eighth is possibility; in between is chaos. If you can inspire and lead yourself and others to the point where they embrace possibility, you have done your job.
Once you have mastered the art of change, you will find that it applies beyond the walls of your workplace. When you learn to embrace change with courage and clarity, you will build much more than a strong and vital organization. You will build a strong, vital life.
Scott Burton is an author, speaker, entrepreneur, athlete, and self-promotions expert with 25 years of performance experience. However, this evening he will be sharing with us his unique entertainment exploring the “power and the potential of the human mind”.

Expect a thought-provoking and stimulating performance where reality and deception are mixed. The results are “larger-than-life” demonstrations of the power of the mind. Comedy and audience participation are mixed throughout the presentation to provide an intimate and enjoyable experience.
