     On behalf of AASRO, I would like to thank everyone who entered the 2010 Student Essay Contest. We had over eighty applicants. All of this year's essays were done extremely well, and choosing the contest winners was exceptionally difficult. All applicants should be very proud of their work. The winners were selected on who best addressed the essay topic of "Driven to Distraction".

   This is a provincial contest and being recognised for writing the top essays in all of Alberta is quite an accomplishment. The winning essays were very easy to read, intelligent and most effectively addressed this year's topic. This year's essay winners are;
